"The rotating beam cast from the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse on the Outer Banks of North Carolina is a sight to behold. To capture this image, I used a 13-second exposure which approximates half of the time for the beam to make a full revolution. In order to break the light beam up into distinct intervals, I covered/uncovered the lens with a notecard during the exposure." Joshua Rhoades
